Apple Pie



I hadn’t made one in awhile so, I thought what the heck and even though we really didn’t need it I made it anyway.

4 golden delicious apples
4 granny smith apples

Peel and slice thinly put in a bowl and squeeze 1/2 lemon.

In another bowl mix together
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
3 tablespoons corn starch
1 tablespoon cinnamon

Make you pie crust and then add apples to pie layering them as you go. Then pour sugar mixture on top. Cover with crust and brush with just a little water and sprinkle 1 1/2 teaspoons of sugar on top. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 min or until golden brown. Cool on rack or eat immediately.
